Like others, I’m getting the dreaded error on startup with me4spring 9.1. Here is what I did:
I uninstalled all previous versions and removed the genuitec directory from the win7 appdata/local directory.
i used pulse to get the 9.1 profile, and also started with a clean workspace folder.
I got the pop-up error message and the first error in the log was this error:
!MESSAGE Product com.skyway.myeclipseforspring.product could not be found.
Followed by a million other lines of errors, at the end was:
java.lang.RuntimeException: No application id has been found.
I tried using pulse to re-install and run, but no love. I also tried the -clean and still nothing.
I’ve also uninstalled everything and pulse and started over…same issue.
Any ideas what to try next?

support-joyMemberatomz4peace,
Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. You have not mentioned what is your OS and version.
Please do the following –
1. Run the uninstaller.
2. Make sure the MyEclipse Install Directory has been completely removed
2.1. Pulse Install Directory, on XP it’s under C:\Program Files in \Pulse or \Genuitec, and on Vista it’s under <USER.HOME>\AppData\Local and then under \Pulse or \Genuitec again
3. Then make sure the pulse2.locator file under <USER.HOME> is erased as well
4. Retry installing ME4S 9.1 using either – all-in-one installer / pulse. In case you use all-in-one installer, I suggest you verify the file size and md5sum of the installer matches that mentioned in the update site.Note: Please refer – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/installation-where-are-the-myeclipse-files-and-folders/&highlight= on MyEclipse files and folders default installation location
Let me know how this works for you.
July 7, 2011 at 12:26 pm #318033Thanks Joy,
Here is what I did.
– Using win7 pro
– uninstall me9 via pulse, uninstall pulse
– remove appdata\local\genuitec (pulse did this)
– pulse must have removed the .pulse2.locator as well.
– deleted the default workspace folderI then tried with both me4s via pulse and had the same error. I then repeated for ME using the online install for ME (not spring). It installed fine, but gave the same error. Product com.genuitec.myeclipse.product.ide could not be found.
anything else to try? v8.6 works fine.
Thank you

Brian FernandesModeratorI’m afraid this sort of issue really is really bizarre, so I cannot explain why this is happening. However, as all your installation techniques are online (Pulse or online installer), I can recommend the following workaround.
1) Download *offline* installer for product you wish to install. This should be ~ 900MB in size, please confirm that the MD5 matches.
2) Install using the offline installer, it should give the the option to repair your install or install another profile. Either of these options should fix the problem, really. If installing a new profile, simply accept the default locations presented.
3) If your issue is still not fixed at this point (unlikely), let’s repeat some of the major clean up. Look for your .pulse2.locator file and delete the directory it points to (it should be appdata\local\genuitec, but we can make sure). Then delete the .pulse2.locator file itself.
4) Now repeat step #2.If your issue is still not fixed, please send in an email to support@genuitec.com with your subscriber Id and license code. We’ll work out a meeting where I can address your problem directly.
