myeclipse 6.0.1 windows xp
from menu, myeclipse->support->educational material
opens website with tutorialsthen I go to menu: windows->and as my mouse moves down

Sorry you are having trouble. This is indeed a strange problem. When you go to the Web Browser menu there is some background work that takes place that does some compatibility checking for your browser support. It seems that your system is susceptible to this test. Can you look in the directory where your “eclipse.exe” lives and see if there is a error log printout? Many times with the jvm exits it will print out a log. Post that here if you see that.
Also can you post all the info that is displayed when you view “MyEclipse > Installation Summary…” ? If you could post those details here that would help.
If you can open the MyEclipse Web Browser, “Blue globe icon on the main toolbar”, then you have all the functionality you really need. The WebBrowser is just a shortcut to letting you toggle the ME Web Browser from internal to an external browser like firefox or IE.
