I have MyEclipse 6.0 GA installed on my PC, I have a function which uses parameter type (generics) in a class. When I try to debug the function, on inspection of every statement it says “Evaluations must contain either an expression or a block of well-formed statements” . I did a search and found that compiler compliance might be an issue, but I found compiler compliance as 5.0 within the workspace[/b]

    v_raikar,

Have a look at this thread. The issue seems to be fixed in Eclipse 3.3:

Can you upgrade your ME 6.0 to ME 6.6 ?

You can install MyEclipse 6.6 via Pulse, all you have to do is to:

    1. Launch the Pulse Explorer (Start > Programs > Pulse) or download from http://www.poweredbypulse.com.
    2. Switch to the Europa realm
    3. Select Profiles under Ready to Use Profiles
    4. You should see a MyEclipse 6.6 profile listed there
    5. Select the MyEclipse profile that you want to install, right click and choose “Run…”
    6. Follow the wizard. Once done open the IDE , switch to a new workspace , create a new project and check if the issue persists.

Let me know how this works for you.

Is there any cost involved for upgrading ME 6.0 to ME6.6?

    v_raikar,

As long as you have a valid subscription, the updates are free and doesn’t involve any cost.
