    hello,
I have the following error when I try to open MyEclipse Configuration Center

Software and workspace center is currently not available
(Could not retrieve metadata for installed software; unable to proceed.)

How do I restore the proper functioning?

    Thanks.

    Sergio

    Sergio,

Can you answer few queries for me to get to the root cause?
    1. Can you copy and paste your installation details here? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details
    2. How did you install MyEclipse? Meaning all-in-one installer / pulse / archived update site on top of eclipse classic?
    3. Are you behind firewall / proxy? If yes, have you setup your proxy here – Window > Preferences > General > Network Settings
    4. Have you added any 3rd party plugins? If yes, can you list them here?
    5. I would recommend you a quick fix using pulse.
    6. Open pulse. If you don’t have pulse, download from http://www.poweredbypulse.com
    7. Login to pulse. You can login anonymously
    8. Select “Eclipse – Galileo” realm from top left hand corner dropdown.
    9. Select “MyEclipse 8.5” from “My Profiles”
    10. Right click on “MyEclipse 8.5” and click on [Re-install and run]
    11. This will open a wizard which will guide you through the rest of the steps
Let me know how this works for you.

    Best.
