    Friends:

    We are using My Eclipse Blue 32 bit on Windows. We want to use My Ecipse Blue 8.6.1 64 bit edtion on Ubuntu.

    Can this be installed as a regular user does it require root privileges ?

    =============================================

    At the same time the Websphere 7 Developer editons avaialbe for download from IBM site is, I suspect, 32 bit edition.

    If any one is aware of the 64 bit Websphere 7 Developer edition, please let me know ?

    If there is no 64 bit developer edition, then can a 64 bit Myeclipse blue work with a 32 bit Developer Edition of WS ?

    Can be installed anyway you want. Regular user or root.

    If any one is aware of the 64 bit Websphere 7 Developer edition, please let me know ?

    Please check the IBM WebSphere download site for details on this front.

    Yes, provided, when installing MyEclipse, you choose to install with the 32-bit architecture instead of 64-bit.

    Hope this helps

    I have done the above already. I could not find a 64 bit Linux version so far. So installed 32 bit version of Websphere 7 on 64 bit Ubuntu. The Websphere7 32 bit edition works fine on 64 bit OS.

    Did not quite follow what you have mentioned above. I should install the 64 bit installer (I dont think I can even install the 32 bit installer on a 64 bit Ubuntu). In the process of that 64 bit installer installing myeclpise, I should choose 32 bit arch, is that right ?
