    harcharan85027,

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. In case you are not using Maven and would like to turn off maven updating index or disable maven feature, please follow below steps –
    1. Open Window > preferences > MyEclipse > Maven4MyEclipse > Maven and uncheck the “Download repository index updates on startup”, click on [Apply] and [OK].
    2. Go to window > preferences > MyEclipse > Maven4MyEclipse and uncheck the checkbox preceding “Enable Maven4MyEclipse features”, click on [Apply] and [OK].
    3. In case you are not using maven, go to Help < MyEclipse Configuration Center. Select Dashboard tab, uncheck the checkbox preceding “Maven support for myeclipse”, confirm the change and click on [Apply 1 change] and follow the wizard, when prompted, please choose to restart the IDE.

How to turn off ‘Initializing Java Tooling’ and Initializing JavaScript Tooling

    harcharan85027,

I am afraid, we currently do not have options to turn off “initializing java tooling” and “initializing javascript tooling”. In ME 9.0.1, we will have the ability to reduce the JS indexing. ME 9.0.1 is due in couple of weeks.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

can i re-install ME without java tooling and javascript tooling?

What minimum i can install,so that ME can run without going to the network looking to update something?

    thanks,

    harcharan85027,

Please clarify, what type of projects are you working on MyEclipse IDE, that would help me point you to the right features you require and the features you can do without.
