When attempting to place an AJDT nature on an existing project, I get the following error as the root cause of a very long stack trace.

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Attempted to beginRule: R/, does not match outer scope rule: P/MyProjectName
    at org.eclipse.core.internal.runtime.Assert.isLegal(Assert.java:58)

    —–

    I am using 3.1M6
    MyEclipse recent release for 3.1M6
    AJDT 1.2.0M3 — Released for 3.1M6

We are using a rational clearcase plugin, but this is otherwise a clean install.

I have seen this error on your forums some time ago and it was indicated that this has been fixed with 3.8. I am unsure if this is a myEclipse issue that has resurfaced or a new AJDT issue. Any light you can shed would be very helpful.

    Thanks,

    Jon

    Jon,
I am not farmiliar with this issue. I think the rest of the stack trace can tell you the store though, if there are no com.genuitec classes in the stack trace, then it is a AJDT issue, not MyEclipse.
