I renamed the folder from MyEclipse Blue Edition 9 to Myeclipse. But when i start up myeclipse it keep creating this folder MyEclipse Blue Edition 9.

I got confused is it hard coded somewhere or do i need to change a configuration.

    nicevision2020,

Configuration files should not be changed. Your config file myeclipse-blue.ini file points to your MyEclipse Blue installation directory. Refer – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/installation-where-are-the-myeclipse-files-and-folders/&highlight=

In case you would like to rename the folder, you can rename the folder pointed by [User-Home]/.pulse2.locator file. I would recommend you refrain renaming MyEclipse Blue Edition 9 folder.

Adding to the above, If your pulse2.locator file points to C:\Program Files\Genuitec – you could move this folder to any other location say D:\ME and change the pulse2.locator to point to D:\ME. Also, you need to change myeclipse-blue.ini file and update the path including – install, configuration, JDK etc.
Recommended way is to change the default path at the time of installation.

    nicevision2020,

Please refer https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/installation-where-are-the-myeclipse-files-and-folders/ for the location of pulse2.locator file.

Let me know if you are able to locate pulse2.locator.

    Best.
