I’m posting this more as “problem avoidance” as opposed to just trying it. PalmSource has an Eclipse-based product called PalmOS DeveloperSuite(http://www.palmos.com/dev/tools/dev_suite.html). It’s based on Eclipse 3.0.2 with CDT 2.0.2.ps004, Cygwin 1.2.0.23–all installed in “special” directories (as opposed to generic) on WinXP.

Has anyone had experience with installing a completely new instance of, say, Eclipse 3.1.1 and MyEclipse that would coexist with another version in (maybe) another space/time continuium?

Or is this more of a “Danger Will Robinson” situation?

That won’t be a problem. Just don’t try to install MyEclipse into the same Eclipse instance that is used by PODS. That will most *certainly* be a problem.

Also I wouldn’t recommend sharing the same workspace. Make sure each instance has it’s own workspace.

Aside from that you should be fine.
