I’m evaluationg myEclipse for work, and to be honest the main feature I was looking at was the Matisse form, though I like the UML tool integrated into Eclipse.

    I was wondering if :

    1. it was possible to install and use Eclipse plugins into MyEclipse? (I’m guessing not, but just making sure.)

2.Eclipse has addon/plugins for C++, php, python etc.. would those be available, or compatible features in MyEclipse.

    3. would something like eclim (vi integration into myEclipse be possible, or available? )

There are certain Eclipse plugins that are not certified to run with MyEclipse but a lot of the Eclipse plugins work with ME.

MyEclipse does not support these features but you can download the trail MyEclipse verison and check if these plugins work with MyEclipse for you.

Im afraid this is not supported.

I’ve been using the core Eclipse C++ support for longer time on ME (from 5.5 to 7.0) and have not had any major issues with it. I’ve been a little busy working on Java stuff using ME 7.0, so have not used C++ much yet, but I could install it without problems. Can’t speak (yet) for the other plugins mentioned, as I haven’t used them.
