I am running MyEclipse 7.5 Pro. This morning, I renewed my subscription for another year which may or may not have anything to do with my troubles.

Now, when I fire up MyEclipse, it shows on the bottom right corner “Checking for Updates” and the green bar goes about half-way. Then nothing for 30 minutes. I rebooted, etc., etc. with no change in behavior.

I am running on Vista. Any screwing around with the MyEclipse GUI makes the app fade and Vista shows it as “Not Responding” forcing me to kill the app via the OS.

Could I be having some interaction with the Pulse software + changed License #?

    Any suggestions?

    fickie,

The best way to quickly fix this would be to use the pulse explorer. Can you check if you have pulse explorer available?
    Look for ~\Genuitec\Pulse Explorer\pulse-explorer.exe.
If not I would recommend you to download the same from http://www.poweredbypulse.com.
Next open pulse-explorer, login anonymously. This will redirect you to the pulse explorer.
From the dropdown select “Ganymede” I notice that you are on ME7.5, ME6.1 is based on Eclipse 3.4.2.
Now Expand “My Profiles”. This will list you all MyEclipse Profiles. Click on MyEclipse 7.5.
On the right hand pane, you will notice you have base, shared and personal software.
Next, right click on MyEclipse 7.5 and from the context root, click on [Reinstall and run].
Pulse will automatically resolve any dependency conflicts.

    Please let me know.
