I have installed myEclipse 3.8.4 for eclipse 3.0. myEclipse is opening up eclipse and has no myEclipse perspective. Do I have to do anything special to get the myEclipse working. I kind of have a feeling it’s not getting installed properly.

When I install myEclipse, I am installing into already existing eclipse folder.

I have also tried manual installation with myeclipse_030804.zip. I see many errors in the manual configuration. One of them is:
MyEclipse Web Development Tooling(3.8.4): Feature requires plug-in “org.apache.ltk.core.refactoring”. I don’t see it in the plugin directory. Shouldn’t it already have it?

    Thanks,
    RN

I recommand you using the Manual Instal to instal MyEclipse on Eclipse, and look at the readme you can easy to install.

The fact that you’re missing a base plugin in your Eclipse instance leads me to think you may have not installed a full Eclipse SDK. You can verify if you have the Eclipse SDK installed at “Help>About Eclipse Platform”. Select the Feature button. You should see about 8 entries. If the number is much smaller, e.g., 1 then you do not have the Eclipse SDK installed but rather the bare Eclipse platform.

I see that the following features are installed.
    Eclipse Java Development Tools
    Eclipse Java Development Tools SDK
    Eclipse Platform
    Eclipse Platform Plug-in Developer Resources
    Eclipse Plug-in Development Environment
    Eclipse Project SDK

All of the above are of version 3.0.0

Please let me know if I should be installing something else on top of the above.

    Thanks,
    RN
