I downloaded the installer 3 times now and each time I try to run it, I get an InstallAnywhere error message saying “The magic number did not match. Please get another copy of the installer and try again.” Any ideas as to what is causing that?

No idea… I’ve never seen that. I would suggest grabbing the manual installer instead, its almost faster to install once you read through the instructions and its pretty straight forward.

Where can I grab the manual installer? I am having the same magic number problem.

Go back to the download page, its the 2nd to last thing “Manual Install”.

I am seeing the bad magic number problem on Win XP.
I tried the Manual Install, and the feedback that I see is that the file does not appear to be a valid archive.

Is there another way to get a trial version of the software?

Can you try redownloading the file? I don’t know why it wouldn’t download correctly… make sure to turn off all download accelerators when you do download it.

Also I *believe* you can grave the archived update site, set it up under Help > Software Updates > Find & Install > Add new site > Add Archived site… but I’m not sure. I haven’t tried and install via this method before.
