I have been experimenting installing Eclipse and MyEclipse to try to fix the infamous debugging problem with Java 1.6 under the Mac OS/X.

I did finally fix the problem by re-installing Java 5 (some solution, eh?)

In any case, after re-re-re-instaling MyEclipse, the menus do not appear to be correct.

if I click Window menu, there is no “Preferences” menu option shown. I have a “Navigation>” option at the bottom of the “Window” menu.

However, most other features seem correct.

This is on the Mac OS/X, so has Eclipse installed some hidden file I need to delete?

Why are the MyEclipse menus incorrect?

    Thanks.

    M,
“Preferences” is a *core* contribution by Eclipse, if that’s not showing up there is something fundamently wrong with the install. Can you make sure your using the Carbon based 32-bit Eclipse bundles if you have gone back to Java 5 to get things working,. Im not sure what will happen if you try to run Cocoa-based builds with the old Java 5 from Apple. — that’s probably what’s screwing things up

    This is all really suprising….

I hope MyEclipse has a cooca version soon.

    Thanks.
