    Hi,
I have just installed eclipse 3.0.1 on a 64Bit Server running Red-Hat AS V3.0 – I then installed MyEclipse and the install reported it went ok with no errors in the log.

However, when I then execute eclipse I don’t get any prompts to install the MyEclipse features and they are not available at all.

Having checked the MyEclipse download site again I noticed there was not an option to download a version for 64bit – is this causing my problem?

I have even done the manual download / install of MyEclipse – to no avail – The only error I can see is
Category com.genuitec.eclipse.views.myEclipseCategory not found for view org.eclipse.monitor.view. This view added to ‘Other’ category.

    Anyone any ideas ?

    Regards
    Neil

    Neil,
First check the Help > About menu, do you see a MyEclipse button?

Second, are you sure you are using the Eclipse SDK and not the PDE or JDT by themselves as the base install?

Be sure to install and run Eclipse AND MyEclipse as the same user, until you get a subscription, then you can mix up the users on our linux box. (permission/licensing thing).

    Riyad,
thanks – I think I’ve managed to sort this out – I had installed the wrong base eclipse (platform instead of SDK). I now have this all working thanks.
