I’ve managed to install Java and Eclipse on my new Vista laptop, but every time I try to install MyEclipseIDE, it hangs at the very beginning of the installation process. Any advice? Any successes out there?

Which version of MyEclipse are you trying to install? Our latest Windows installer should work for Vista (but it’s only used in our most recent Milestone release 5.0M1).
Whatever version you install, using the Manual installer is real simple and straightforward – download it and follow these instructions (a copy of these instructions is also present in the ZIP file you download)
