Selecting New -> Web Services, I dont see any selection for JAX-RS ( or JAX-WS for that matter ) Only Web Services. I am trying to run through the REST Web Services Tutorial and see that it isnt the same. Am I missing something?

Can you please follow the updated tutorial and let us know if you see any issues while following the tutorial ? Here is the link for the updated tutorial – http://genuitec.com:8080/help/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.genuitec.myeclipse.ws.doc%2Fhtml%2Fquickstarts%2Fwebservices_rest%2Findex.html&cp=2_12_1_0

I did follow the tutorial and got the same results. The New -> Web Service selection looks like the attached gif ( CAPTURE2.gif ), instead of the tutorial ( attached rest_new_ws_page1-capture-2.gif ) . Please advise

    mikexr,

Looks like you have enabled WTP extras and selected New > Other > Web Services > Web Service. Instead you need to select New > Other > MyEclipse > Web Services > Web Service to get the correct wizard.

You can disable WTP extras from Window > Preferences > General > Capabilities > Advanced > MyEclipse standard tools > Unselect/Uncheck ‘WTP Extras’ & ‘WTP Deprecated’ > Click ‘Ok’ > Click ‘Apply’ and ‘Ok’.

    Hope this helps.
