    Hi everyone,

I am new to myeclipse. I am using Tomcat 5.0, eclipse3.0.2 and myeclipse 3.8.4. When I tried to deploy an application, I got error “The select server is enable, but is not configured properly. … Please navigate to the server preference pages and verify the filed with the prompt: Tomcat JDK name.” Can anybody tell me what is wrong with it and how can I fix it?

    Thanks

    Zhong

    Zhong,

The problem is that you need a full JDK, not a JRE, to run any of the application servers. If your primary JRE install within Eclipse is really a full JDK, edit it in the Eclipse preferences and set the root to the top-level installation directory, not <install-dir>\jre. That will clear up hte problem. More on it is specifically covered in our Working With Web Projects quickstart in the documentation section here: http://www.myeclipseide.com/ContentExpress-display-ceid-67.html
