NeilMemberAfter installed myeclipse6.0 GA menu display %menu.myeclipse.label
Loyal WaterMemberI didn’t understand what you mean. Could you please rephrase your query.
Marek PribylMemberI have the same problem – in menu bar appears “… Search Project %menu.myeclipse.label Run Window Help” instead of “… Search Project MyEclipse Run Window Help” or something similar…

Loyal WaterMemberCan you try cleaning your workspace using the -clean command.

Marekpribyl, let me know if this issue crops up again.
johncwalkerMemberI also have the problem and have restarted several times with -clean with NO success.

Riyad KallaMemberJohn,
Do you have the VSS plugin installed by chance? What additional plugins do you have installed to MyEclipse 6?I saw this problem briefly during testing when I added a certain combination of plugins, cleaned my install and it was gone, but it *did* happen… I just never narrowed down what it was.
KrisMemberI have restarted eclipse several times and the issue is still there.
(%myeclipse.label.menu instead of MyEclipse in the menu bar)
What should I do?
I have already tried starting eclipse with the -clean param, but same thing.
I’m running OS X.
netzdiegoMemberThe same after fresh installation on WinXP.
Riyad KallaMembersudkcoce / netzdiego,
Do either of you guys have any additional plugins installed? What happens when you go to File > Switch Workspace > C:\tempworkspace and hit OK? Is the menu restored?
I’m trying to narrow down how to reproduce this, because it doesn’t happen right out of the box for anyone on the test team, but clearly it *can* happen, I’m just trying to nail down what triggers it so we can kill it.
Thanks for the help guys.
Carlos Garcia GarciaMemberI have only have installed subclipse plugin on top of standard myeclipse distribution and have the same problem with the menu label.
Riyad KallaMembercarlisg,
Does restarting using -clean help?
http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-10280.htmlI see this problem with dirty workspaces, but once I run clean it’s fine again… it’s sorta odd.
JIANHAN RONGMemberI have the same issue. I finally pin it down to the Polarion Subversive plugin. Once I removed the Subversive plugin, everything seems to be ok. I don’t know the root cause of the problem though. I would really appreciate if anyone can provide an answer for this. Since I do need Subversive plugin at work, and I have to live with the “%menu.myeclipse.label” label. Thanks.
Riyad KallaMembererongd,
Try this:1. Shut down MyEclipse.
2. Erase <workspace dir>\.metadata\.log file (just the log file)
3. Restart MyEclipse
4. Confirm the menu is screwed up, then shut down.
5. Open the newly created .log file, and paste it’s contents here. Maybe a startup error will shed some light on what’s going on.
kindkidMemberrkalla, I have the same problem. I’ve just installed MyEclipseIde 6.0 (AllInOne) on Windows XP, a completely fresh install on a newly reformatted laptop. After the install of MyEclipse, I think the menu was fine, but didn’t really pay attention. I used the eclipse update manager to download a bunch of Europa updates / new plugins. (just the ones on the Europa discovery site already available by default in the update manager). Afterwards, I noticed the menu was messed up. Here’s the workspace/.metadata/.log file contents after following your instructions:
