I think I have a unique situation in that our site runs WS 5.1 on our servers and we have Rad 6 installed with the 5.x runtimes.

I am trying to setup a WebSphere 5 connector and point it to my runtimes.
WebSphere Home Directory: C:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\SDP\6.0\runtimes\base_v51

This seems to work as I am no longer getting bootstrap problems, but the server never seems to do anything or display anything in the console saying it is ready.

Also, how does one link data sources to the server instance.

Thanks, I have read that, but what I am trying to do is configure the local MyEclipse AppServer definition so I can run my code on my local MyEclipse installation on my laptop so I can run the code I am working on. I guess what I am trying to say is can I use the runtimes that were installed with my RAD 6 installation or do I have to have the AppServer actually installed on my laptop?

You have to have the appserver installed on your laptop outside of RAD 6 since it ships a highly customized and integrated version that is only suited for development when using RAD.

I have a very similar problem, I am trying to configure WebSphere 5.1 server (an actual based installation) to be use as a runtime environment within myeclipse!! – is there any tutorials around that would help me doing so?
