    Hello,

I need some help. I have installed Eclipse 3.2 and MyEclispe 5.0 under Max OSX 10.4.7 and trying to open the demo project provided in this below error message. I am not sure how to se t the project as MyEclipse Web-JSF Project. The below is the error messsage.

Unable to create this part due to an internal error. Reason for the failure: Project ‘dvd-app’ is not configured as a MyEclipse Web-JSF Project. Therefore the MyEclipse JSF Config Editor may not be used with faces-config.xml. The default XML Editor has been used to open the file instead.

    Appreciate your help.

    Thanks
    Mani

    Mani,
That error message isn’t that helpful, what you need to do is if your project is not already a web project, you need to right click on the project, go down to MyEclipse and click “Add Web Capabilities”, be sure all the settings in the wizards are right.

Now you have a web project (or already had one), then go back down to MyEclipse after right clicking on your project, and select “Add JSF Capabilities”, be sure all your settings are right, and uncheck the libraries and TLDs if you already have them added to your project, then hit Finish. Now you should be able to reopen your file as a faces-config.xml file in the designer.

    Hi Riyad,

Your understanding is correct. I made a mistake on the project definition. Now As per your step, I am able to open the faces-config.xaml and anle to see the graphical view.

Once again, could you able to provide one demo application link which shows and explains the JSF features.

    Thanks & Regards
    Mani
