Is there a way that I can modify the new JSP template– the one that defines what goes in the file initially when you use the wizard to create a new JSP?
If not, I’d like to add this to the list of requested enhancements. What would be great is a configuration setting that uses the buitin format, or allows me to specify a .jsp file to use as the template.

There’s no “good” way to edit the template. For a “bad” way (that will get you going) see this thread:
