If I try to create a new project (with none open at the time) in MyEclipse 7 for the Mac, I am on the screen where it has the Wizard text entry at the top.

I select Web Services Project and click Next and I get the error that I need to enter a project name first.

Of course, there is no place I could have entered a project name yet!

If I go back and forwards a few times, I can finally get to the point where I can enter a project name, paths, and such, but when I click “Next”, nothing happens.

Is this a known defect or am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks.

    M,
We were unable to reproduce this issue at our end. We can see all the fields. Could you send us a screen shot and the workspace log file.

    Thanks.

Sure, can you please give me a good email address for these files?

Could you also please tell me where the workspace.log file is on a Mac system (or the exact name if not workspace.log)? I’ve been looking around, searching using Spotlinght, etc., for a while now.

Once I can find this file, I’ll email you both files to the email address you will give me from my request above.

    Thanks.

    M,
The log file can be found under <workspace>/.metadata/.log file. I guess the default location of the workspace is ~/documents/workspace.

You can hit the “PM” button at the bottom of my post and send me the files.

I will send you the document with the blank data entry form right away, but I cannot find the the .log file anywhere on the Mac system. It is not in the /usrs/mork/Workspaces/My Eclipse 7/ or anywhere for that matter.

I’ve used Spotlight to search for system files, but there is no .log file or .metadata file anywhere that i can find.

Please let me know how to find these files.

    Thanks.

    Mork,
Can you please mail me the workspace again. I haven’t received it yet.
