pasherMemberHi
New to this software and app development.
Downloaded and running the trial version. Built a simple app. Going through the iOS Build Application and its asking for mydigital certificate, private key etc.
So, have I got to pay Apple the $99 just to find out if this software is any good, or more importantly, if I am capable of building apps?
Thanks

support-michaelKeymasterHi pasher,
>So, have I got to pay Apple the $99 just to find out if this software is any good, or more importantly, if I am capable of building apps?
Actually I encourage you to use MobiOne to build and test your app as an optimized mobile webapp before you begin dick’n around with native app development. Use MobiOne to design and test your app in its local iphone and ipad mobile web emulator and directly on your iOS device(s). If you like what you see and need to use native apis such as interaction with camera or contacts for example or you need to distribute your app through the app store then you will need to build your iOS app using a Apple digital certificate and provision profile. These data files are only available through Apple’s iOS Developer Membership ($99/yr for individual).
Note our upcoming Android developer support will enable you to build android apps and install them directly on your divice(s) or share with your friends with no additional costs.

pasherMemberThanks for the quick response.

So I can get the app onto my iPhone to try it out? How to do that isn’t clear.

That was my next question – When?
Thanks

Unknown AuthorParticipantWill I be able to just re-compile my existing .mobi files for android? I have already gotten several folks asking if and when my app will be available for android. (7 iphone app sales so far!)

support-michaelKeymaster>How android screen size will defined ?
MobiOne’s initial android services will include several handset and tablet reference android devices with a variety of screen sizes. The visual designer enables a developer to specify how his UI adapts to different screen sizes by using widget auto-resize properties and scrolling panels. It is analogous to creating UIs that work in different orientations (different aspect ratios). The following doc describes how these features are useful

cmstephanMemberHi short question on that – did I miss the Android version?

Albatros78ParticipantThanks Wayne
I suggest to have also a customizable Android screen size, because there are too much products (phones, tablets) and it would be very nice to have the choice to customize personal tablet size by example.
Thanks
