I am not able to install subclipse (either 1.6.18 or 1.8.18) in 10.7. I’ve tried about 10 times and after I install and restart I do see the plugin in the “already installed” section but I’m not able to view the SVN repo perspective in order to check out code from SVN. Any ideas?

    bradamz,

You can open SVN perspective by going to Window > Open perspective > Other > SVN Repository exploring. SVN repository perspective opens up. Right click on SVN repositories view and click on New repository location and follow the wizard.

If you are still facing issues with SVN repository, please uninstall subclipse from MyEclispe configuration center and install Subclipse 1.8 plugin by following these steps :
    1) Download Subclipse 1.8 plugin from here – http://subclipse.tigris.org/files/documents/906/49260/site-1.8.18.zip
    2) Extract the zip folder to [MyEclipse installation dir]/dropins folder. If the folder dropins does not exist in the directory, then create one. Then restart your MyEclipse. After restarting, MyEclipse automatically detects the plugins.

Let us know how it works for you.

I tried the steps you mentioned and this did not work. The dropins folder seems to be totally ignored when I start up myeclipse. I should note that my development machine does not have an internet connection. Also this is on 10.7.0.

    bradamz,

If you are behind a firewall/proxy then please set proxy settings here from MyEclipse menu click on Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections.

Can you please try other way for installing SVN plugin :
    1) Remove everything from [MyEclipse install dir]/dropins folder and also uninstall SVN plugins from MyEclipse configuration center, if you have already installed.
    2) Goto MyEclipse configuration center > Software > click on Add site
    3) Give a Name and select “Add from Archive file”, select the SVN zip file you downloaded (mentioned in my earlier response) and click Ok
    4) Next, expand the site you just added and select the plug-ins you’d like to add to MyEclipse by right-clicking on each of them and selecting “Add to profile…”.
    5) After adding the plug-in to the profile you’ll see it listed as a pending changes. Once all your changes are complete, select the “Apply changes…” and follow the wizard.

If you are still seeing issues, can you please attach the .log file which is located at [workspace]/.metadata/.log file to help us investigate further.

Let us know how this works for you.

When going to Help menu, there is no option for Configuration Center.

Also, I have nothing enabled under the Network Connections menu. What should this be set to?

    bradamz,

Our latest version of MyEclispe is 10.7.1. If you are not on MyEclipse latest version, can you please download and install our latest version from the following link ? http://www.myeclipseide.com/index.php?name=Recommend_Us&req=Download&version=ME

If you are on MyEclipse latest version, can you please re-install MyEclipse to another location and check whether you can see Help > MyEclipse configuration center ? Open MyEclipse 10.7.1 installer file, it will list you 4 options, you could choose to repair, create another copy of MyEclipse or re-install. I would recommend you to choose create another copy of myeclipse and follow the wizard till completion.

Can you please open a new workspace after reinstalling MyEclipse and check whether you can install subclipse from MyEclispe configuration center / using dropins folder mechanism / using update site ?

If you are still seeing any issues, can you please share the installation details from MyEclipse > Installation summary > Installation details ? Also, please attach the .log file located at <workspace>/.metadata>/log file to help us investigate further.

Can you please check the following link on how to configure proxy settings :

Let us know how it works for you.
