    Hi guys:
Is it possible not to show a project in the Package Explorer after closing it?
    Thanks

You can right click on the project and select delete. Make sure you select “Do not delete contents”. That way the project will remain in your workspace. You can later import your project once again when you want to work with it.

    Thanks, Nipun.
What is the recommended use for multiple workspaces?

If you like to group projects then these groups can be maintained in different workspaces. The is no recommendation as such. You have to decide depending on how you like to work with / organize projects.
