I’ve started getting NPE’s with MyEclipse IDE v 7.1.1 20090310. It appears to occur when I try to edit an xhtml document (JSF/Facelets) and when it does it happens every time I type a character or click the mouse and then it will stop doing this and work correctly. Sometime later it will start over with this behaviour. My project is a Web Project, environment is Java 6. I’m to the point of re-installing but will wait upon a response.

I’m sorry to hear about this experience but it sounds similar to one of several performance problems we fixed in MyEclipse 7.5, which is available now. Since you’re at the point of reinstalling, I’d recommend installing with the ‘all-in-one’ installer for MyEclipse 7.5 that’s available on the downloads page. Please let us know if this resolves the issue.
