Jeff KishMemberHi.
I had myeclipse 7.5 installed and installed a fresh copy of 8.5 (yay it got purchased!)
When I opened my old workspace, I tried to open the perspective <SVN Repository Exploring> but could not.I installed various SVN plug in components with no luck until (duh) scrolled down the perspective list and found at the bottom
SVN Repository Exploring (without brackets).
Can I and Should I remove the old <SVN Repository Exploring>? If so, how do I remove it?
Jeff

Just to be on the same page – have you installed SVN on your ME 8.5 profile? In case you want to remove any redundant plugins from your profile, please open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center. Choose Software tab. All the 3rd party plugins are listed under My Software > Personal. Right click on the same and click on [remove]. This will list managed changes under Pending Changes section. Click on [Apply x change] and follow the wizard.
Yes you can remove your old SVN Repository. Right click on the same and click on [remove]May 12, 2010 at 7:10 am #308338

Yes you can remove your old SVN Repository. Right click on the same and click on [remove]Yes, I’ve installed the SVN on my 8.5. I don’t see the duplicate one (there are no entries under ‘Pending Changes’), although it is in the perspectives menu drop down.
thanks

support-joyMemberJeff,
Thank you for your clarification. Please open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Window > Customized Perspective. Choose “Group Command Availability”. Look for *SVN* and un-check the checkbox for the duplicate SVN setting.
Let me know how this works for you.May 13, 2010 at 7:00 am #308365

Let me know how this works for you.So weird.. SVN was in there only once and not even checked, even though I could see the perspective currently.
I’m a bit confused, but I guess it doesn’t matter if the ‘ghost’ <SVN…> is in the list that shows when you want to open perspectives.. it just didn’t seem quite right.Jeff

I am not sure as to what you are seeing, can you attach a screenshot? This will help me get a visual. You can [pm] me the screenshot.

support-joyMemberJeff,
Yes [pm] should be pretty easy to use. Alternatively, you can also send a mail to support@genuitec.com, add this weblink as reference and ATTN:Joy in the subject. This will help in quick tracing.
Best.
