I’m working on a new project and we’re in the process of deciding what technology platform to will use. The application will include Oracle Portlets running on an Oracle 10.1.2 app server.

Several of us on the team would like to standardize on MyEclipse as the IDE. I would like to know is if it is possible to do online debugging with MyEclipse using an OC4J Standalone app server. Is anyone out there doing this? If so, can you point me in the right direction to set up a configuration so I can do some experimenting?

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Matt,
I don’t quite follow the question “OC4J standalone app server”. MyEclipse does provide support for debugging of web applications (I know people find debugging in OC4J hairy, so you may want to try it first and IIRC it only works on 10.1.3 or later correctly).

Is OC4J “standalone” something different/special than just a webapp running on the OC4J server?
