    working in a class in a java project, from the context menu I select
    “Organize imports”, I make a selection and close it. Then I find I did not make
    all the right choices , so I try to re-opent the “Orgainize imports” and “VOILA” IT DOESN’T
    RE-OPEN EVER!!!

    Is there a work around?

    1) Can you post the information from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details here for me?

    2) Can you go to your (<workspace dir>\.metadata\.log file) and look near the bottom for an exception that may shed some light on why it failed to open and paste it here?

    3) Try restarting MyEclipse using -clean and see if you can launch the Organize Imports function as outlined here: http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-10280.html

    Also , I opened build.xml and there are no Tabs for anything , I’m stuck in the non-editing view
    reference: “right click to ….” Im in java perspective in a java project (spring) how do I
    get to the xml editor???

    Did you try restarting using -clean? If so, can you tell me what happens when you right-click on a package or class and go to Source then Organize imports? Does anything happen? If no, is any error written to the *end* of the log file?

    Can you execute that command from within the source editor?

    yes I restarted with -clean,

    the .metadata file is in the workdirectory,

    you can only open the “Organize imports once” at this try nothing happens , not in the source editor
