hi,
I am trying to develop a PHP application using the MyEclipse IDE but when selecting PHP project and creating a new PHP file the IDE does not seem to recognise it as a PHP file. The syntax highlighting, code assist or any of the other features work. Any ideas?

Robin,
Try right-clicking on the PHP file and going to Open With, and make sure it’s opening with one of the PHP editors from the PDT.
