    Hello,

What operating system and version are you running?
    Windows XP – Home

What Eclipse version and build id are you using? (Help > About Eclipse Platform)
    eclipse SDK 3.0 RC3

    – Was Eclipse freshly installed for MyEclipse? Yes.

    – If not, was it upgraded to its current version using the update manager?

    – Are any other external plugins installed?
    No.

    – How many plugins in the <eclipse>/plugins directory are like org.eclipse.pde.*
    Seven.

What MyEclipse version are you using? (Help > About Eclipse Platform > Features)
    Build id: 20040305-3.7.0

What JDK version are you using to run Eclipse? (java -version)
    J2SE 1.4.2_04

What JDK version are you using to launch your application server?
    J2SE 1.4.2_04

What steps did you take that resulted in the issue?
I unzipped a fresh copy of Elcipse, started it once but did nothing in it. Then I installed MyEclipse. I then ran Eclipse again, but it never asked me to confirm any changes. I can see the MyEclipse Perspective and menu, but I seem to be missing everything else. When I go into Preferences, none of the servers or editors are installed. Also, none of the project types are installed, etc.

What application server are you using?
    Tomcat and later WebLogic

Are there any errors in the Eclipse log? (<workspace>/.metadata/.log)
Yes, here is the .log file:

Please let me know what might fix this problem.

    Thanks,

    Victor,
The problem is that you are using incompatible versions of Eclipse and MyEclipse. This is a bit tricky to figure out since there were so many dev releases of Eclipse and MyEclipse, but what I would suggest is downloading a fresh copy of Eclipse 3.0 SDK GA (~89meg) and then MyEclipse 3.8Beta2 (~44meg) and installing them together.

Let us know if that helped.
