Weblogic Portal 10.2 is used extensively at my company. The IDE that ships with the product is Eclipse-based and is called Workspace Studio. How do I go about getting the functionality available in Workspace Studio into the MyEclipse IDE? I’d hate to have to use 2 IDEs, one for front-end development and another for backend development.

    Hi,
I’m not aware of a plugin that can help you here. Sorry about that.

    Jznet2,

I suspect there would be conflicts, but MyEclipse 7.0 is simply plug-ins to Eclipse 3.4. Earlier versions of MyEclipse plug into different versions of Eclipse.

Do you know what version of Eclipse the Weblogic product is plugged into? Say it was 3.2 or 3.3, you might try to use the Archived Update of an older version of MyEclipse and install it on top of the Weblogic plug-ins. The instructions for installing the Archived Update are right at the same place you download it.

This will not work with MyEclipse 7.0 I’m sure. With the addition of Pulse (pulse rate 0 bpm in IMHO), everything got screwed up with it and your Eclipse version would have to be 3.4. People who are behind firewalls who can’t get any cooperation from their IT department to open things up, are pretty much screwed.
