Last night, I allowed updates to MyEclipse to update both Matisse and something else. Everything appeared to be alright but when I restared Eclipse the first time this morning, I got some could not open editor errors (identifying all the jsp editors as unloaded).
Per an FAQ, I closed all editors, closed Eclipse and restarted Eclipse directly. Although Eclipse does appear to be in MyEclipse Java Enterprise Development, the MyEclipse perspective is gone as well as the MyEclipse menu item in the project properties window.
The Eclispe Product Configuration now only shows MyEclipse 6.0.0 M1 with other products gone and within that configuration, only the Matisse4MyEclipse Swing UI Designer 5.9.100 appears to be the only thing installed.

Supplemental Information: Behavior
When I launch Eclipse directly, it comes up fine. When I attempt to launch Eclipse thru the shortcut created with MyEclipse was installed, I see the splash screen but Eclipse will not start.Searching for upgrades reports that eclipse.core is not insalled.
How do I recover from this gracefully?

Can you post your config information from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details here for me?Also have you tried restarting using -clean to see if that fixes the issue? (https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshoot-using-the-clean-command-line-argument/)
Well.. it’s my development machine and on a deeadline and got impatient and unstalled MyEclipse and just reinstalled. I am just getting to the point where I can restart it. I did not know of the clean option but seeing that MyEclipse didn’t exist in the configuration output of Eclipse, I figured ultimately that it was going to be a rip and replace.
