I have been working on the same code base for the last two months or so. yesterday, I started noticing that as I step through the code, the debugger is out of synch. The debugger jumps eratically between different lines. I also started getting the hot synch erros, telling me that my code has changed and asking me if I should updated. That happens as I am stepping through the code.

I am running against jdk 1.4, tomcat 5.5(backward comaptible with the jdk). Winxp.

If you click the MyEclipse menu, then the About MyEclipse item then Coniguration Summary and paste the result for me here, I’ll have a look.

Also try shutting down your app server, removing your deployment rebuilding your project then restarting MyEclipse using the -clean command line argument. Then after restarting recreate a new deployment to you app server and start it back up again and see if that helped.

Also are you debugging JSP or Servlets/Java code?
