Tried to update to 7.1.1
Help->Software Updates ->CHeck for updates.
I see a message saying “Validating MyEclipse 7.1”.
Then a large message dialog pops up with the title “Error resolving MyEclipse 7.1”
The text says An unexpected error occurred validating the selected profile.
Reason :
Cannot find a solution satisfying the following requirements
[Match[[org.eclipse.mylyn_feature.feature.group….And so on. I can’t give it you all because I can’t copy and paste from the message area and it is very long.
This is just the latest in a long litany of wasted time and failed upgrades. I am behind an NTLM proxy but this problem got sorted with 7.0.

I got past that last error by removing one of the mylyn updates. I ran update again. It started to update 7.1 components then failed with this

1. What is your current MyEclipse version? Can you copy and paste your installation detail here? You can get it from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Detail.
2. How did you install MyEclipse? meaning using all-in-one installer, pulse, through eclipse?
3. Can you attach your log files? Log files are located under [myeclipse installation folder]\.metadata\.log

Thanks for the installation detail. What is the plugin you are trying to install? And how are you trying to add the plugin? Have you tried to use the dropins folder? You can download the plugin and copy and paste the relevant plugins to [MyEclipse installation folder]\dropins\plugins and features to [MyEclipse installation folder]\dropins\features.
