this is what I see when I run MyEclipse lately and I do not know what is the problem. I saw another person called froses had the same issue and he posted in here without getting any help from myEclipse support team. Let see if I’ll be more lucky than him or follow his step and abandoned MyEclipse:

MyEclispe 6.1when I run eclipse NOT with MyEclispe eclipse runs well that means it’s compatible. I could not find eclipse compatible with 64 OS. if you know any, let me know

actually, I reinstall kubuntu 8.4 for 64 bit and I did all over again now I get this Error when I try to INSTALL MyEclipse

when I run eclipse by it self it runs with no issue. That indicate MyEclipse has some issue. Personally I do not believe this has to do with OS nor eclipse
after I install everything fresh. all worked fine. Do not ask me why because I have no clue.

I’m glad you got things working, but let me add a few additional notes for anyone else running across this issue:* Using the Pulse Linux installer for MyEclipse can be a super-easy way to install MyEclipse (http://www.poweredbypulse.com/eclipse_packages_linux.php)
* If you are doing the install yourself, make sure you aren’t trying to mix the 64-bit Eclipse with MyEclipse, which is only available in 32-bit builds right now.
* Also make sure you are using the Sun VM and not some default-installed GCJ build or IcedTea build, they won’t run MyEclipse correctly.I hope that helps.
