Just recently, my FIND/REPLACE [cntl-f] feature is not working. It indicates that the string does not exist, even though I am looking directly at it. I have tried it with both the case sensitive checkbox selected and unselected. The SEARCH –> FILE… function works, but not the find function. Any ideas on how to fix this?

    rw2451,
Can you give some more information?
    1. Can you copy paste your installation details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details?
    2. Can you send us a screen shot showing the issue? You can use the PM button at the end of the post.
Also, can you clarify if the scope is set to “All” or “Selected Lines”?

    rw2451,
Thank you for the screen shot. I noticed that a few options are missing are in your Find/Replace window.
Can you switch to a new workspace and check if the issue persists?
Also, can you using the -clean command as mentioned in the link below –
    https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshoot-using-the-clean-command-line-argument/

Is there any specific reason why you are using an old version of MyEclipse? I would recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of ME. Here is the list of features available – http://www.myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-1.html

I was able fix the problem by exporting everything to a new workspace. This, however, introduced problems with my Tomcat install, so I wiped out the original workspace, then created a new one with the same original name and migrated back to it. The find command now works, although it behaves a little different. For exmple, it used to start finding the first item that matched as I typed the characters, but now you have to type the characters then hit enter before it finds anything. I guess I can live with that, though. Thanks!

Good to know that you are all set.

start finding the first item that matched as I typed the characters, but now you have to type the characters then hit enter before it finds anything.

Can you clarify if “Incremental” is checked under Options in the Find/Replace window?
