Hi,
I downloaded and installed the latest version of MyEclipse yesterday, and installed on MacOSX. Unfortunately, I’m really struggliing to make it stable.
It started out OK, but then I got a couple of OutOfMemory problems. After changing my eclipse.ini file to the recommended settings, restarting MyEclipse caused my project to rebuild. Following this, the HTML Validation and JSP Validation kicked in.
An hour later, the HTML & JSP Validation was still showing as executing, and it appeared that they were ‘hung’. Looked like some sort of thread deadlock.
After killing and restarting, the same problem occured, and I could not get I stable system.
I deleted MyEclipse and Eclipse and tried again. Same problem after a while. Unfortunately, uninstalling MyEclipse also seemed to corrupt my Eclipse installation.
I know this doesn’t give you much to go on, but I can’t really afford to install MyEclipse again and risk losing my Eclipse installation.
Is there a way of killing the HTML & JSP Validation once it has begun?
MyEclipse looks really promising, and I’m keen to try again 🙂
Thanks,
Richard Kenyon
