Im not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but I didnt see one that looked more appropriate so..

I have recently renewed my “My Eclipse Pro Edition” subscription. However, once I try to enter the new Subscription Code into the IDE I get a message saying “Error — The entered subscription code has already expired” … but the code is good until August of 2007.

My current version of MyEclipse is 4.0 Milestone 2.

I have tried contacting support on this issue via email, but have got no response and my old subscription expired today. If someone could please respond to me, or give me a direct way to contact someone to get this issue resolved it would be much appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Wedge Smith

    Wedge,

The problem is that the version you’re running is an unsupported milestone release and doesn’t understand the new pro subscription code format. You can do one of three things to fix:
    1) Upgrade to MyEclipse 4.1.1, which will allow you to keep running on Eclipse 3.1. It will understand the code just fine.
    2) Install Eclipse 3.2 and MyEclipse 5.0; it also will understand your pro code and reward you with a ton of new features and fixes.
    3) We understand that sometimes it’s critical to avoid “jacking” with your development environment due to delivery commitments. If that’s the case, simply send an email to that effect to subscriptions at myeclipseide.com and explain that the situation (a link to this thread would help) and request that they issue you a standard key in addition to your pro key. The 4.0M2 release will run fine with that.
