Hi everyone!
I’ve just download MyEclipse 4.0 trial version.
I’ve tried to install it on my machine (Win2000) as Eclipse 3.1.1 plugin, but when I say the Eclipse location (C:\path\to\eclipse\) to the installation wizard, I receive an error message like this:
“Wrong Eclipse Version”.
It seems MyEclipse 4.0 doesn’t support Eclipse 3.1.1
Is it possible?
Any suggestions?Thanks in advance
MyEclipse 4.0 is built for Eclipse 3.1.x but will not work on Eclipse 3.0 or the milestone versions of Eclipse 3.2. If you received this message and your really are sure you have an Eclipse 3.1 installation, the issue is that you probably are pointing the installer to a directory one level higher than needed. For example, if you downloaded Eclipse 3.1 and unzipped it to c:\eclipse3.1 then you need to point the installer to c:\eclipse3.1\eclipse since Eclipse always installs under a directory named ‘eclipse’.
