Having difficulty installing the plugin on Windows2003. The INstall Shield starts up and then disappears. Any clues? Thanks,
Hmm, what is the output of running java -version from the command line?
Also, remember that if your having trouble with the automated installer you can always download the manual install package. It is on the same download page as the windows installer. Once you unzip the manual install package you will see the installation instructions are included.
Hi all,
the new installation version 4.0.3ga_e3.1 EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_4.0.3GA_E3.1.exe crashed under
Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition SP1, Java 1.4.2_08 with the error:
“The instruction at 0x00xxxxxx referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be writen”.I have renamed EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_4.0.3GA_E3.1.exe in ZIP. After then I extract entire content of the file
EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_4.0.3GA_E3.1.zip archive – and start installation “Windows\Enterprise Workbench Installer.exe”
Installation was successfull.P.S. I tried previos version 4.0M2_e3.1 with the same problem.

We don’t have Windows Server 2003 Standard on any of our test workstations. However, you can always perform a manual install using the manual install package from the downloads page.
I suspect it is because of security feature in Windows, Data Execution Prevention. It stops programs executing in data areas.
I tried to allow InstallAnywhere to be an exception under System Properties > Peformance Options > Advanced > Data Execution Prevention. But it still fails. I will try your solution.
