Have paid-for a licensed copy of MobiONE 2.3.1.

Attempting to increase memory available to it via the mobione.ini file.

When attempting to open the .ini file, we get a message:

“This beta/preview/test version has expired. Please download the latest version from our website.”

We have done that, uninstalled the current version, re-installed the fresh download, which activated after install.

The program works, but we need more memory for a large project.

How do we access mobione.ini under the error conditions?

Hi, something is goofed here as there is no relationship between modifying memory settings for the Java virtual machine that MobiOne uses and the error message you are reporting.

Did you follow this guide for adjusting memory:
    https://www.genuitec.com/mobile/docs/technicalReports/memory_settings.html

If yes please share if you modified any other files in the process. If you modify only the mobione.ini file please post your mods and we will see if we can replicate the issue. Also note that you can easily bonk your installation by setting memory settings too high such that the mobione can’t launch due to insufficient resources.

The error happens when we are in the file directory and click on the mobione.ini file.

Since, we have accessed the file via an editor directly vs. trying to open the file itself.

We were able to make changes to the settings.

We have settings of Xmx512m for the time being.

Doesn’t the program work better when giving it more memory resources?

In any case, our issue is now where links to pages pull up a blank page (see other topic posting about this issue).

    Thanks for the input Wayne.
