    All,
I am new to myeclipse and having issues with the installation with tomcat. I installed eclipse, tomcat, and myeclipse. tomcat seems to work fine from its own menu systems from within eclipse, but when I attempt to deploy a web project to tomcat, tomcat is not an option… I configured the tomcat and myeclipse application server parameters accordingly making sure to point to a JDK and not just a JRE, but I still am not having any luck…

Can anyone answer why tomcat does not show within the “Project Deployments” wizard although its enabled via preferences->myeclipse->application servers->tomcat 4

    Thanks for the help,
    Maurice

    Maurice,
An application server will not be shown to you if it does not support the kind of deployment you are attempting… for example, if you are trying to deploy an EAR, only JBoss and other J2EE containers will be shown to you… if you are just tryign to deploy a Web Project, then Tomcat *should* be shown to you… does this apply to you?

    Maurice,

Glad that solved the issue. Since you’re new to MyEclipse I want to make you aware of the large set of tutorials we have available in the Documentation section that is accessible from the navigation menu on the left.
