I have been using MyEclipse for about 1 year without problems – it always prompted me for my workspace when I start up (Window > Preferences > General >Startup and Shutdown > Prompt for workspace on startup).

Recently, however, it has stopped prompting me, and opens into an empty workspace… I wait for the ‘java tools initialization’ to complete, then have to switch workspaces…

I check/uncheck the box to no avail… any ideas on what could be causing this, and what a fix might be? I’m using Enterprise Workbench 6.0.1 GA

    Thanks.

    hollow,

We have seen this issue intermittently during testing but thought we had fixed it. Are you using 7.0M1?

The workaround is pretty straight forward, just edit the shortcut used to start MyEclipse and add “-clean” as the first argument before -vm or -vmargs.

NOTE: Which version of MyEclipse are you using and how did you install it? (Installer, Archived Update Site, Pulse, etc.)

It is version 6.0.1 GA. Adding -clean to the shortcut did the trick.

    Thanks.
