support-joyMemberAmir,
Typically downloading the new Pulse installer and running it twice will recover broken Pulse Explorer installations. You can also use –repair on the installer to force a clean install.
Please follow below approach for a clean install
1. Your pulse2.locator file is located under <USER.HOME>. Typically for windows OS, it could be located under C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\.pulse2.locator. Please ensure you delete this file.
2. Download pulse from http://www.poweredbypulse.com
3. Login to pulse.
4. Select “Eclipse – Galileo” realm from top left hand corner dropdown
5. Expand and click on – Ready to use Profiles > Popular
6. Right hand pane will list you MyEclipse / Blue 8.5.
7. Right click on the relevant ME profile and click on [run]
8. This will open a wizard which will guide you through the rest of the steps.Best.

support-joyMemberAmir,
Thank you for your kind words. Next time you face any issue opening jsp files, try to switch to a new workspace and see if you can reproduce this issue. MyEclipse 8.5 has fixed many reported performance issues in earlier versions.
Regarding the difference of ME 8.5 and ME 8.5 Blue, please refer http://myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-1.html – this will give you a snapshot of features supported in each version. MyEclipse Blue 8.5 caters to RAD and Websphere users. Blue additionally provides WebSphere connectors and dployment, JAX-WS & JAX-RPC Web services and WebSphere & RAD Project Support & Migration.
Hope this helps.
July 1, 2010 at 7:52 am #309508Dear Joy
I am so glad of your answers but when looking into the differences between MyEclipse versions I notice that MyEclipse blue suppoerts webshphare. in my case I use JBoss and the integratin of jsf -spring-hibernate.
Don’t you think best of me t use th version MyEclipse for Spring rahter than the blue version.?
If so then I still can keep two versions on my pc rather than removing one and go into the hastle of clean installtoin?
I look forward to your swift replies as usual accompanied with deep apreciation.

support-joyMemberAmir,
Yes, opting for MyEclipse for Spring will suit your current requirements. Yes, you can install multiple versions of ME on your workstation. Just ensure you open 1 IDE at a time in-case you are on a single user license.

support-joyMemberAmir,
1 – I have installed Spring and I have full license for MyEclipse. Would the package IDE for Spring have an extra fees?
Yes, there is a price difference between each license. If you refer http://myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-1.html – this lists out the price of each product along with the features we offer. MyEclipse Spring tools option is currently available on all versions. But if you are looking for advanced spring features such as Spring MVC Scaffolding, Spring Project Bootstrapping, Advanced Spring Editors then MyEclipse for Spring is the recommended IDE for you. If you already have a different license and would like to upgrade to MyEclipse for Spring, please send a mail to subscriptions@genuitec.com with details of your existing license, a support staff will help you with the upgrade. All you need to do is pay the difference of price and a new license would be sent to you. You should be all set.
2 – I got very very slow response on the URL for simple web project on the address bar!!!?
This is not very clear. By slow response, do you mean you are using a web-browser other than myeclipse default? Can you elaborate more on this. Also to increase performance – I have couple of recommendations, please see below –
1. From MyEclipse IDE, click on menu option Window > Preferences > General > Capabilities and remove the capabilities which are not used by you.
2. Click on Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center > Dashboard tab. Go through the list of MyEclipse Add-ons. You can uncheck any add-on which is not required. This will list the managed changes under *Pending Changes*, click on [Apply x changes] and follow the wizard. When prompted, please choose to restart the IDE.
3. Perform -clean refer – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshoot-using-the-clean-command-line-argument/ – this can help in removing plugin cache information
4. Can you include your installation details? MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details. This will help me understand your current ME profile and platform details
5. Please check if you can see any issues reported on the problems tab
6. Check the .log file if there are any relevant issues logged. Your .log file is located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.logThank you.

support-joyMemberAmir,
It looks like you are stale references left out of pulse. I would recommend you a clean re-install. Please go through below steps –
1. Run the uninstaller.
2. Make sure the MyEclipse Install Directory has been completely removed
2.1. Pulse Install Directory, on XP it’s under C:\Program Files in \Pulse or \Genuitec, and on Vista it’s under <USER.HOME>\AppData\Local and then under \Pulse or \Genuitec again
3. Then make sure the pulse2.locator file under <USER.HOME> is erased as wellJuly 5, 2010 at 5:53 am #309560Hi Joy
