I downloaded it from a site I was directed to from a link in your e-mail

Riyad KallaMemberDouglas,
We did do a lot of work in Pulse to make sure it could run behind most Firewall setups, although it’s certainly possible there are still networks out there that Pulse cannot run behind. You might try downloading Pulse at home to get an idea of how it works and so on, but given the “online” nature of Pulse, if it cannot even download the initial bootstrap to launch, using it in your network setting is likely going to be a no-go. We will offer more official solutions to really locked down networks early next year, but for the immediate issue of wanting to get MyEclipse installed I would strongly suggest falling back on one of the tried-and-true methods, e.g. the All in One installer for example.December 17, 2007 at 11:18 am #279744

concerning this download, the firewall is not only invisible to the network
but is to allow any request that originate from within. However, Verizon DSL ,does provide free Anti-virus/spam scanning of the line
before it reaches me to ALL it’s customers, I have a commercial line.I have myeclipse_6.0.1, most recent install , up and running

Riyad KallaMemberHmm… I suppose I would suggest trying some other control points. Maybe a machine in the DMZ if possible?

I just opened myeclipse , the quick update started
At 2:24Pm completed download at 2:42Pm
I have a 3Mb download line
the download was not Continuous! but many starts and stops
maybe your server could use a higher cache limit? What was weird , is that after the install , I went to the menu -Windows-
and navigated down to preferences, and as I went over web browsers
you guest it ; the infamous pop-up window appeared and freezing up myeclipse
I clicked the close button a dozen or so times and the pop-up box dissapeared.I restarted myeclipse, went back to the menu Windows
navigated back down to the Web Browser option and it’s fly-out menu appeared,
it worked normally ?????December 18, 2007 at 3:21 pm #279794
