Quick query: why PHP for ME? Why not J2EE instead?

    I can guess what the answer is gonna be ;), but have you (Genuitec) guys thought of implementing the MyEclipse portal in J2EE instead of PHP? Sort of like eating your own dogfood I suppose.

    Or have I made an incorrect assumption about the portal’s back-end?

    Its just a matter of resources. The ME team has allocated 110% to MyEclipse, and I think if you compare MyEclipse NOW to MyEclipse LAST YEAR, the difference is astounding. The portal is a necessity, but not our bread and butter. We can always remap the .php alias to .jsp to make people happier 😉
