    Hi,

When I try to start tomcat 5 using Tomcat 5 -> Start from the IDE toolbar, I get the following errors:

The project has been “sucessfully deployed” to tomcat 5.

Tomcat appears to be working correctly – and configured correctly under Window/Preferences/MyEclipse/Application Servers/Tomcat 5/

I’m using j2sdk1.4.1_03 – I can debug a normal Java application without problem.

I’m new to MyEclipse, and not sure where to start looking. Would you please point me in the right direction?

    Regards,
    Rob Shields

Rob, what OS are you running on? It ‘looks’ like you may be on Windows 98/ME because of the 2nd error dialog… MyEclipse is having a problem with the space in the name “Program Files”, in which case intsalling Tomcat to say C:\Tomcat5 would fix your problem, but I’m wondering why as this setup works fine on Windows 2K/XP.

    Hi,

    Solved it now!

It was the old spaces in path problem – so I changed the tomcat paths from

    C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.0\

    to

    C:\PROGRA~1\APACHE~2\TOMCAT~1.0\

    Good old MICROS~1!

    LOL

    I’m on 2k

Hmm, then I’m not terribly sure what the problem would be, but I’m glad its fixed.
