    I’m running:

Sun Solaris 8 w/ Gnome Desktop
    Mozilla 1.6 GTK2
    J2sdk 1.4.2_04
    Eclipse 3.0
    MyEclipse 3.8.2

…and after installing MyEclipse I noticed right away that the “Preview” tab on the HTML/jsp view is missing. On further inspection of Eclipse in general I haven’t been able to figure out how to browse HTML at all. I have a feeling it might have something to do with a basic Eclipse configuration, but I can’t seem to find anything remotely browser specific I can configure. I’ve seen other posts mention this, but I haven’t seen any solutions.

Can anyone give me an idea why this is happening and what I can do about it?

This is likely a Mozilla configuration problem. There is an open Eclipse bug about some Mozilla interaction issues and workarounds in the Eclipse Bugzilla database here: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=75450

You should check your log file (<workspace>/.metadata/.log) to see if any entries look similar to those reported in the bug report.
